U7 Cup Journey

One of our newest managers saw recent cup success in the Winter Festival Cup Section G 2023. Manager Damien Herridge tells us more:

"Our path started at Barming Primary School early January where we won both our first and second leg games. The confidence gained from the first leg really pushed the team on in their first ever cup games. 

We were originally due to play the cup final at Barming Primary School but due to the heavy rain the pitch was water logged and the match got postponed. We were then due to play at South Street the following week but with the heavy frost the match was again postponed.

The club really worked hard to facilitate the game and we eventually managed to play it at Maplesden Noakes School late January. It was a hard fought match by the team, taking the lead early on but then the opposition equalising. Going to penalties the team showed resilience to win the game, and the cup!

The team worked so hard and fully deserved the win. As a manager it made me feel so proud to see the great group be successful and show how hard they have worked in training".
