U9 Tournament Win

Our Under 9 Youth team led by Tony Browne and Nick Wilkins tested their team by entering them into Soccer Elites first tournament at their brand new Star Meadow facility at Under 10 level. Coach Nick Wilkins tells us more:

"We decided to give our team a challenge by playing up a year group at Under 10 in the first Soccer Elite tournament at their new Star Meadow facility. The first game saw us endure a loss in the dying seconds against New Ash Green. 

Second game saw the team play Hollands and Blair and in a hard fought game they drew before a brilliant win against Bearsted with two fantastic goals which confirmed the teams progression to the semi finals.

The semi final paired us against New Ash Green, who we had lost our first game to. We managed to take the game to penalties following a draw and saw a great display of goals and saves before entering sudden death........ The team did great and with composure and confidence they came out as victors taking us to the final.

Our final game saw us play Hollands and Blair, which was a real challenge. There was some great football on display and just before full time our Under 9s scored and secured the win!

Myself and Manager Tony Browne are massively proud of the team in what was their first time playing a year up. Huge credit to them all and 100% deserved winners".
